The Oologah-Talala Board of Education is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student has the opportunity to achieve academic excellence, personal growth, and lifelong success in a safe and supportive setting. As the governing body of the district, the Board serves as a bridge between the community and the schools, ensuring that the district’s policies, programs, and priorities reflect the values and expectations of the people we serve.

Brent Kellogg, President, District 1Term Expires 2026 Brent is the Senior Pastor at HillSpring Church. He and his wife Jeri have two children, Landon and Kalei. He holds a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Oklahoma State University and spent 10 years in Christian radio from Tulsa to Baton Rouge. Brent joined HillSpring in 2003 as Youth and Young Adults Pastor and became Senior Pastor in 2007. He enjoys movies with his wife, family time, sports broadcasting, fishing, singing country music, and traveling. -
Joe Koster, Vice-President, District 2Term Expires 2027 Joe Koster is a Board Member at Oologah-Talala Public Schools. He and his wife Yve have five children: Koty, Jake, Gavyn, Faith, and Michael. A Claremore High graduate, Joe holds an associate degree in electronics from Rogers State University. He works as a contract plumber for American Airlines. Joe enjoys motorcycles, camping, building things, and traveling—especially to beaches and Italy. His favorite food is spaghetti, and he loved math and recess in school. -
Lyle Blakley, Clerk, District 3Term Expires 2028 -
Lauren Stauffer, Deputy Clerk, District 4Term Expires 2029 Lauren Stauffer is a first-year Board Member at Oologah-Talala Public Schools. She’s married to J.D. Stauffer, a State Game Warden, and they have two sons. A Preston High graduate, she played college sports and earned degrees from Connors State and Rogers State. A legal professional, she’s active in Oologah First Baptist. Lauren enjoys sports, reading, quilting, and family time, and is a strong advocate for children and public education. -

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS
The Oologah-Talala Board of Education recognizes the value of public input and provides an opportunity for members of the community to address the Board during regularly scheduled meetings, subject to the following procedures and guidelines.
1. Request to Address the Board
- Individuals wishing to address the Board must submit a written request to the Superintendent’s office no later than three (3) school days prior to the regularly scheduled Board meeting.
- The request must include the speaker’s name, contact information, and the topic to be addressed.
- The Superintendent and School Board President will review and approve requests in accordance with Board policy and applicable laws.
2. Presentation Guidelines
- Individual Presentations: Limited to five (5) minutes.
- Group Presentations: A group of three (3) or more individuals must designate a single spokesperson. The group presentation will be limited to ten (10) minutes.
- The Board President may grant additional time for an individual or group presentation if deemed in the best interest of the Board’s deliberations.
- The Board of Education will not engage in discussion, respond to questions, or provide comments during public presentations.
3. Restrictions
- No individual or group shall address the Board or its employees concerning specific personnel or personnel-related issues.
- Presentations must be respectful and comply with all applicable laws and Board meeting decorum rules.
4. Board Discretion
- The Board President reserves the right to limit, interrupt, or terminate any presentation that violates these guidelines or disrupts the orderly conduct of the meeting.
